From Lagos to the Charts: Which Setups Hit?

GBPUSD, Gold, BTC — Full Recap from Saturday & Monday

From the Streets of Lagos to the Trading Floors

There’s a guy in Lagos, name’s Dayo.

He doesn’t trade from a fancy office or sip espresso while reading CPI reports. He trades in a cramped barbershop in Yaba with an iPhone 11 and N2,000 data.

But here’s the twist…

He caught both the Gold short and GBPUSD bounce.
Why? Because he reads WMarkets Insider. He doesn’t gamble, he prepares.

Let’s see what you would’ve caught if you followed Saturday and Monday’s trade updates.

Saturday Setups Recap (July 13)

1. EURUSD

Setup: Bounce to 1.0850 zone, then sell
Outcome:  Price rejected cleanly — short confirmed

2. XAUUSD (Gold)

Setup: Rejection from 2375–2380 resistance
Outcome:  Gold hated yields — rejected hard — short confirmed

3. GBPCHF

Setup: Risk-on + BoE tone = potential long

  2. GBP/CHF (Long)⚠️ Still Brewing
BoE kept tone firm after 3.6% CPI; pair is up, but momentum must prove itself.

  3. USOIL (Long) Clean Breakout
Inventory build fear + global supply risk spurred a rally — prices now ~$77.20.

  4. NZD/CAD (Short) In Position
Kiwi data underwhelmed; oil and CAD stable → pair slipped below 0.8200.

  5. USD/JPY (Long) Continued Rally
With the BOJ silent and yields steady, USD/JPY stayed strong near 147.3.7.

  6. Bitcoin (~$117.7k) Dropped from $122k
USD strength and persistent yields shook crypto — bearish signal validated.

  7. Ethereum (~$3,547) Bounced Above $3,500
ETH outperformed BTC as tech sentiment pulsed — but still follows macro.

The Final Score

🔓 8 out of 10 setups confirmed short or long as we signaled.
⚠️ 2 remain in development — GBP/CHF and NZD/CAD need more conviction.
